Erica – Dental Hygienist

Erica has been a member of Dr. Nation’s team for 17 years. She graduated from the University of Louisville. When Erica was choosing her career, she knew she wanted a career in the medical field. She chose dental hygiene as it would allow her as a single mom to provide for her daughter and would give her a work schedule that would give her ample time with her daughter and family. Erica has a passion for educating patients on oral health and care. She does her best to ensure her patients understand how their oral health affects their overall health.

Born and raised in Louisville, she has a love for the city and was lucky to find a husband with a firm foundation here too. Erica, her husband, and their two children are big volleyball fans. They love to watch volleyball, especially the U of L Women’s Team. They’ve also recently taken up pickleball. Erica also enjoys traveling, walking, and watching movies with her family.

Andrea – Expanded Duty Dental Assistant

Andrea has been a member of Dr. Nation’s team for nearly 10 years. She graduated from ATA College with her (EDDA) Expanded Duties Dental Auxiliary Certification along with the Kentucky certification in Radiology Safety and Techniques. Andrea loves interacting with our patients, especially those who have been seeing us for years. Her favorite part of being a dental assistant is the wide variety of dental procedures performed by Dr. Nation, making every day a different experience.

Outside of the dental office, Andrea enjoys reading murder mysteries, taking walks with her husband Matt and their son Max, visiting with family and friends, and attending various sporting events.

Hailey – Expanded Duty Dental Assistant

Hailey is the newest member of our team, joining us in April 2024. She graduated from MedQuest College with her (EDDA) Expanded Duties Dental Auxiliary Certification along with the Kentucky certification in Radiology Safety and Techniques. Hailey is great at providing comfort and reassurance to our patients. She enjoys the sense of accomplishment at the completion of a patient’s treatment.

When she isn’t at work, Hailey is a hobby photographer. She also finds enjoyment in watching mystery documentaries, taking trips to the beach, and shopping.

Ashley – Office Manager

Ashley joined Dr. Nation’s team in October 2023. She has 20 years of Business Management/Development experience in various industries. She has a passion for helping others, both professionally and in her community. 

When Ashley isn’t in the office, she is with her husband, Loren, and their 2 sons, Collin and Jase. Being a native West Virginian, she loves spending time outdoors. She also enjoys baking, reading, paper crafting, and yoga.

Shelby – Front Desk

Shelby is the oldest daughter of Dr. Nation. She’s a great help in our front office.

She is a 2024 graduate of University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in Digital Media & Design. Shelby’s works of art can be viewed in our exam rooms. She is also a graduate of Manual High School.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her sister, Lily, playing volleyball, gaming, and traveling.
